About Me

Hello! I am Bronwen Whistance.I want to provide an online counselling service for youth and adults who are newly identified as Neurodivergent, and for those who identified long ago, and any other person who wants to explore their place in the world. This is a time of discovery - of looking back with compassion, of sitting in the present with fresh eyes and looking ahead with adventure in your heart. Here's the thing - the road to here has been difficult and forging a new identity is multi-faceted. So long as you are willing to begin, I can accompany you as a support, a witness, a cheer-squad-of-one in a safe space to explore, understand and accept yourself.I have recently joined this path as AuDHD - although, like many of you, I am sure - there were plenty of signposts along the way that could have led us here sooner.Nonetheless - here we are now.

Registration, Insurance, Health Funds and Professional Development

Professional Development is an important aspect to my practice. It keeps me motivated, curious, challenged and aware of current debate and policies and refreshes my skills and knowledge. Professional Development is also integral to my PACFA registration. Most recently, I completed Clinical Supervisor training with the Centre for Existential Practice. I am looking forward to expanding my practice with this approach to clinical excellence and self-awareness. Other formal training in the past year has included webinars through the Mental Health Professionals Network, updates to Comorbidity training at the UNSW, and webinars at PACFA. I have completed my NDIS Provider Audit and am waiting on the final word from the Commission. Informal training includes webinars and podcasts from a kaleidoscope of folk some of whom I have listed in my Inspiration section - a treasure trove of perspectives.
